This, That, unt Other...

Firstly, here's the current Fantasy Football table - you may notice I have slipped down to fifth... FIFTH!!!!! OMFG, what happened there then?

1 Death Jester UltraSamp BelSamber 1102
2 danny joyce DANTHEMANS X11 1078
3 Nikolay Mihaylov Leeds Ledeburg 1077
4 pearse armstrong celtic united 1037
5 Richard Uttley Uttley Allstars 1008
6 glynn wilkinson postjockey 990
7 Lee Holland BladeRunners 977
8 Dave Yates Daves Dyanamo's 968
9 Rashel Miah akuar 966
10 michael cardwell team cardy 955

Well done Jester, you're looking good to take the crown (which this year happens to be a hat that flops over slightly with bells on it).

I'd also like to say that Chelsea were robbed of a place in this years Champions League final by a referee that doesn't even know what a f****** penalty is! Unlucky John, you're not going to get to make up for your crucial penalty slip in last years final by beating the Red Devils in this years final, and you WOULD have beat them.

One good thing to come from the semi-final against a very lucky Barcelona (with ref on side) was a sheer class goal from the returning Essien.

Changing the subject completely (because I can't be bothered to start a fresh post) I would like to say a big "well done" to comparethemarket.com for giving us some light hearted and very funny comical relief during the adverts which only usually wind me up (read on).... Meerkats rock... simples!!... just look how he mimes along to his own jingle, which happens to sound the same as the other - sheer class.... but wait,

...where have the drink manufacturers gone so wrong at the moment (Duffy)... rides bike... "I want to live...." ... YOU WANT TO SHUT UP!!!!!

Crappy Adverts Pt 2

Why spend millions on a top celebrity to advertise a perfume called Diamonds by singing the classic Bond song "Diamonds are Forever" when the singer can't even pronounce her f**king r's (like Jonothan Woss).  Diamonds are Fo"w"ever.  Beyonce...... baaaaaaaaad!

...and the got-to-be-most-annoying-advert-of-all-time award goes to...

Confused.com...

"I don't know where to buy a kitchen sink, i'm confused dot com"... "I don't know which loan is best for acting school, i'm confuuuuuuuuused dot com"... "I don't know which side of the bed to get up from...  ...i'm confused dot com", no you're not woman, getting a f**king grip - you might be confused but you're not a website for brokering loans with cheap rate television advertising!

Halifax, listen up, i'm fed up of telling you just how annoying your adverts have become - everyone's had enough of Howard (if that's his name as I always turn over when the Halifax adverts try to clutter up the grace that my television set portrays so neatly), and all the back-up actors need to stay away too - the adverts just aren't funny, aren't classy, and i'm pretty sure they aren't doing their job either.  Sort it out.

Top women from some recent adverts lighten the load.  I'm talking about the girl from the Special K adverts (also seen in some car rental adverts) and the French girl that was in some of the Renault Clio adverts, see here - thanks to adverts like this there is still hope for us...

Need I say more?

Annoying Adverts On Television!!! Part 1

I've just really got to get a few things off my chest about some of the adverts currently appearing on British television. Why? ...because they wind me up and I think if I let it all out then maybe they'll be easier on my brain.

First off, that Accident Advice Helpline (or what ever it's called) advert with Esther (all i'm good for these days is crappy adverts) Ranson, where some lady, you know the one, she's the one in the front row tapping her foot while Esther starts ranting, apparantly had a fall on an uneven pavement and sprained her ankle so she could claim thousands off the council and we could all pay for it with a raise in our council tax. Thanks a f**kin' lot Esther - next time you can pay our council tax for us!!!... and they actually clap her at the end.

Then there's the one for the hair gel where they all join the army and decide they want to "look good" and so don't get their hair shaved and instead all stand and laugh at the General. Reality please, if they did that all the training, exams, and interviews they had done to get in to the army in the first place would all have been for nothing as they would all be kicked out, the hairdresser wouldn't have used the gel on them in the first place and the General (or what ever rank he is) would have probably knocked them all out before they even had chance to smile. I know it's an advert, but it winds me up, and probably everyone in the armed forces too, so get your advertising right if you want to improve sales, or come to me with your idea first and I'll tell you if it's poor or not.

Other adverts that wind me up are the Churchill adverts - the dog's cute enough, but the adverts stink, the cereal one with the kids counting the pops, simply for the way the boy says "fifty-four", I'm glad he's not my kid, the Halifax adverts - don't you think we've had enough of Howard already? ...please Halifax, NO MORE, and the window adverts - you know the one's... ...you buy one, you get one free, I said you buy one, you get one free... SHUT THE F**K UP!!!!!
