Back to joint second!.. and free £10 bet...

Fantasy football time again, and unfortunately, having young Wright Phillips in my team did me no good when they lead against a 10 man Newcastle and forgot how to play football.  Apart from last night's match I had a pretty good week and crawled back up to joint second (3rd really, but equal points to 2nd), yet I still have some way to go to win back my crown and sit top of the league again.  Maybe some of us should stick to betting, which reminds me, you can get a free £10 bet at Paddy Power at the moment to bet on the football, just click here and pick a few winners.  Here's a few tips for you for the coming weekends Premiership (weekend of 25/26th October)...

Sunderland to beat Newcastle, odds 6-5 - Sunderland have been unlucky recently but have been on fire and are due a win and Newcastle keep scraping the bottom of the barrel for the odd point but still sit second from bottom.  Sunderland also hold home advantage.

Chelsea to beat Liverpool, odds 10-11 - Chelsea are unbeaten at home for several years and Liverpool, although joint top with Chelsea at the moment have won about 4 games on last minute goals and in their last 2 games have relied on their opponents going down to 10 men in order to come back in to the game.  Liverpool have been very lucky, but against a team like Chelsea, especially at home, they will show their true colours - that of a losing team.

Man City to beat Stoke, odds 1-2 - Stoke rely on long throws and set pieces but outside of the top 4 Man City are the best team at holding the ball up and won't give many chances to Stoke, who still sit near the bottom of the table and in my opinion are favourites to go down this season.  Also, Man City, coming off the back of a poor performance against Newcastle, and with home advantage will want the points more than Stoke and although the odds aren't great this is a true banker, and one that should be bet on.

So a £10 treble on the 3 above matches will earn £63.  Not bad for sitting in front of the box and watching the scores roll in.

Back to the fantasy football and the league table, and good luck with the football bets, not that you'll need much, I'm pretty sure on all 3 of these bets.
